Magnitude 3.0 Earthquake hits Sevier County

Some residents in East Tennessee woke up to some shaking Saturday morning.

The U.S. Geological survey says a magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck about 4 miles north east of Sevierville just after 6 a.m.

10News also received reports from people in Sevier County and Jefferson County who said they felt the ground shake.

No serious damages have been reported.

This earthquake comes just two weeks ago to the day that a 4.3 magnitude quake hit near Whitesburg, KY at 12:08 pm eastern time on November 10.

Whitesburg is about 144 miles northeast of Knoxville, in south eastern Kentucky.

This is a developing story.  10News will update information as it becomes available, and have the latest tonight on 10News at 6.
